We often hear from our customers: "I've had these for 15 years". Many of our customers are very happy with the products, and often come to see us at markets and fairs wearing Nesnalobben that have been handed down. Here is how you can make your wool felt shoes last a long time too.
When spring and summer arrive, it can be tempting to put your wool felt shoes away for a while. Before you do, we recommend cleaning them so they last as long as possible.
1. Wipe off dry dirt with a dry cloth.

2. Rinse the sole well with water to remove any salt and grit.

3. Spray on a thin layer of waterproofing if you like. Note: the shoes will lose their breathability if waterproofed too often. Once a year is enough.

4. Store the shoes in a dry, dark place and look forward to next season.

We focus on sustainability and the environment, and want our customers to take good care of their shoes so they last longer.
All Nesnalobben will of course show wear with use, but the sole does not break down until they are many years old, unless it has been exposed to salt.
